Designing
and
Building
Interfaces
I'm Daniel Adams, a designer and creator with a focus on web
interfaces. I'm a founding member of Stealth, working remotely from
the Black Forest in Germany as a Principal Design Engineer.
For more than two decades, I've built digital products for companies
of all sizes — from startups to global enterprises. Along the way, I
founded and ran a mobile app development company. Since the late
1990s, I've been shaping digital products through pragmatic,
detail-oriented design.
Selected Work
Working across product, design, and engineering, I established
GitHub's core conversational AI interface that serves as a central
hub, making the platform's complexity more approachable through
natural conversation.
I created a flexible layout suitable for different micro-apps. The
goal was to adapt to different contexts and tasks while maintaining
platform consistency through componentized shared patterns.
Working across product, design, and engineering, I focused on
accessibility compliance, user experience improvements, and platform
consistency across GitHub's design system. This included addressing
organizational challenges and shaping the internal structure to
support a cohesive platform experience.
Amongst other things, I initiated a new documentation site to
consolidate Primer's various resources into a unified reference for
designers and developers.
At Microsoft, I contributed to App Center — an integrated platform
for building, testing, distributing, and monitoring mobile
applications at scale.
Following Microsoft's acquisition of HockeyApp, I applied my crash
reporting expertise to help shape App Center's diagnostics service,
and contributed to its automated build and distribution pipeline.
